In the event of a quality escape or defect, we follow a corrective action process that is designed to determine the root cause of the defect and document the steps we will take to ensure that the issue does not occur again.

#5 Cut
- Requires no secondary processing.
- Tolerances as close as /-.005”.
- Edge appears smooth sandblasted with no striations visible.
#4 Cut (AST Standard Cut)
- Requires little or no secondary processing.
- Tolerances as close as /-.005”.
- Edge appears smooth sandblasted with minor striations visible.
#3 Cut
- May require some secondary processing.
- Tolerances as close as /-.010”.
- Edge appears sandblasted with striations visible
#2 Cut
- Mainly used where secondary machining is required.
- Tolerances as close as /-.020”.
- Edge appears rough with heavy striations.
#1 (Rough Cut)
- Mainly used where secondary machining is required.
- Tolerances as close as /-.030”.
- Edge appears rough with heavy striations.
